Music Connection Magazine's

Immigrating from Sao Paulo, Brazil to Miami, FL, Rayssa always desired to be a singer, singing loudly and proudly wherever she went. She was taught to pursue a career that ensured financial stability, not internal happiness. Consequently, she studied computer and political sciences before following her true passion. Since then, she’s earned two music degrees, one in Vocal Performance and another in Guitar Performance, from Musicians Institute, and is currently pursuing a certification in music production.

Rayssa’s had the honor of performing with major names, including Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas, on incredible stages, like Coachella’s main stage and the legendary Jim Henson Studios (formerly Charlie Chaplin Studios and A&M Studios). As a vocalist for hire, she aims to deliver the most professional service for television programs, music festivals, and studio sessions.
As a solo artist, Rayssa aims to make genuine music that stirs the unconscious and moves the soul. She herself was never privy to the luxury of good mental health, and now often works with TWLOHA, an organization that guides people to recovery from depression, suicidal tendencies, self harm, and substance abuse, to raise mental health awareness. She’s vocal about her unending support of Black Lives Matter and a reformed societal system that values people over money. Her songs often deal with finding hope in the hopeless and light in the darkness.

In her free time, she “takes to the sea,” as Herman Melville’s Moby Dick reads, and attends surf sessions and events. “The ocean’s where I feel most ‘at home,’ where my soul is most comfortable,” she says. “I honestly don’t know what the hell Ariel was ever thinking, choosing land over sea.”
